Clever Castle by Thinkfun – Review

Clever Castle by Thinkfun – Review

The first thing you do before reading this review is to go check out my review of Chocolate Fix as this is the same type of game just for the younger crowd.  As you know from our Chocolate Fix review, it was a big hit in our household, the only problem?  My four year old really was not up for the Chocolate Fix challenge.  He loved the idea of the game, but it was just a bit too hard for him.  Not to worry as Thinkfun has you covered.  Clever Castle is designed for a younger age group and it was great for my 4 year old.  They could play side by side, Clever Castle and Chocolate Fix, and both of my boys were learning problem solving skills while having a great time.

For our 4 year old it was a pleasure to see his face when he completed one of the challeges and got it right all by himself.  As with other games from Thinkfun, the product was well designed.  The clues were on sturdy cardboard, the pieces were easy to handle and colorful, and at the end of the game you could put everything in a carry bag.  Thumbs up again for keeping the peace in our house by allowing each boy to have a challenge specifically designed for them.

You can also check out our review of the iTunes Application Rush Hour by Thinkfun.

A new pattern matching game from ThinkFun designed specifically with younger kids in mind. Players use the clues that the King and Queen of Clever Castle have provided to help all nine of the party guests find their rooms in the castle. When every princess, knight and dragon finds their assigned room, flip the challenge card over to see if you are right! With a Parent’s Guide and 40 Challenges ranging from Easy to Super Hard, Clever Castle has been specifically designed to encourage children to explore, succeed and have fun.

Ages: 5 to 7

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
