The Really Loud House is coming to Nickelodeon today and we were super lucky to have Wolfgang Schaeffer, who plays Lincoln Loud and Jahzir Bruno, who plays Clyde McBride answer some questions about the show. We are huge Loud House fans so this one was a fun one for us.
BSCKids: Tell us a bit about your character from The Really Loud House for people that do not know. Do you have anything in common with your characters?
Wolfgang Schaeffer: Well, Lincoln Loud is always trying to find the easy way out and will let nothing get in his way. However, his plans normally end in disaster. I am similar to Lincoln in this way because I always have a plan and want to “win.”
Jahzir Bruno: Clyde is caring, sweet, supportive but also a little nerdy, which is good. Things that Clyde and I have in common are that we both like cooking and reading books.
How do you feel like you have grown the character since A Loud House Christmas?
Wolfgang: I have binged The Loud House more times than I can count, and with every script comes a new character development for Lincoln, such as going to school.
Jahzir: I feel like I’ve grown Clyde to have more confidence with each episode.
Do you feel more attached to the character now?
Wolfgang: I feel more attached to Lincoln now because I have so much background information and am given the opportunity to make character choices.
Jahzir: I definitely feel more attached to the character since I’ve gotten so used to playing him.
What does your average day look like while filming The Really Loud House.
Wolfgang: I go to set and put on my wig, makeup, and costume. Then I shoot my scenes while juggling school between takes. After I leave set, I spend whatever time I have left in my evening and just chill and relax.
Jahzir: Well, first I change into the Clyde look, then I go through hair and makeup and after I’m done I either go to school or straight to set.
Can you tell us any funny behind the scenes things that have gone on while filming the series.
Wolfgang: Whenever Jahzir Bruno and I are wearing super cool outfits, we shoot cool photos as mock album covers.
Jahzir: At lunch, we usually take the last 10 minutes to play football and ping pong, or as we like to call it P.P.
Tell us something people would be surprised to know about you.
Wolfgang: One interesting thing about me is that my main hobby is solving Rubiks cubes. My fastest time is 18.76 seconds.
Jahzir: I love anime! I like to read manga and my favorite anime is One Piece.
Besides The Loud House universe shows, what other show do you love that you would like to see a live action version of?
Wolfgang: I would love to see Spongebob SquarePants come to life because I think the transition could be very interesting and hilarious.
Jahzir: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hey Arnold.
Is there a story from The Loud House that you would love to do on The Really Loud House?
Wolfgang: I would love to see the episode when Lincoln has ten brothers instead of sisters. I think that would be a cool alternate universe to explore and see what they could make out of it.
Jahzir: There’s one episode from The Loud House cartoon where Clyde receives an opportunity to study cooking in France and all the guys try to get him to stay home.
If you were able to keep one thing from the set of The Really Loud House and bring home what would it be and why?
Wolfgang: I would keep Lincoln’s favorite stuffed animal, Bun-Bun. He is just the cutest little bunny in existence and if I could take him home I totally would!
Jahzir: Clyde’s signature outfit, it’s like a collectibles item!
What is different between The Loud House and The Really Loud House besides the fact that one is live action and one is not? Can you do all of the crazy stuff that they can do in the animated version?
Wolfgang: I believe that I could do everything Lincoln does in the cartoon, because everything in the animated series is grounded in reality. It might involve some special effects and stunts, but we can make it work.
Jahzir: There isn’t much of a difference, we probably could do all of the crazy stuff. We do have a couple of stunts upcoming that I won’t say too much about, but be prepared!
So what do you do for fun outside your career?
Wolfgang: I love spending time playing videogames, speedcubing, and drawing. I have filled about thirty different sketchbooks with different drawings and doodles that make me very proud of my artistic abilities.
Jahzir: I like to rock climb, read, play some video games and watch good movies.
Why should everyone be tuning in to watch The Really Loud House?
Wolfgang: Everyone should tune in on November 3 on 7pm ET on Nickelodeon because it is a show for all ages whether you are with your grandparents or siblings, you can watch and laugh together!
Jahzir: I feel that everyone should tune in because it’s one of those shows that you can watch with your family and make special bonds!
Special thanks to Wolfgang Schaeffer and Jahzir Bruno for taking the time to talk to us and make sure to tune in to The Really Loud House on Nickelodeon.
