Big Nate Coming To Nickelodeon And Why It Is Wonderful

Big Nate Coming To Nickelodeon And Why It Is Wonderful

We are finally getting a Big Nate animated series and it will be coming to Nickelodeon in September of this year. We are huge fans of the books and know our way around the Big Nate story and characters and are looking forward to brand-new original storylines. There has been some hints of what to expect like Nate trying to convince his school that it is haunted to get out of having to take a test and setting a pet iguana free in the school’s air duct system. We are hopeful to see a lot of Nate sports stories as well as his quest for a girlfriend.

So we have seen a picture of Nate in relation to the show and it will be a CG animated series. While the new CG animation is well done, and it seems to be the way that Nickelodeon is moving with some of the shows, I feel like a style like Loud House would have been preferable for us based on that comic aspect of the original. That being said though, Big Nate will be on our must watch list in September. The characters are so well done and who isn’t looking forward to seeing how Nate Wright interacts with Clara Godfrey and Gina Hemphill-Toms in the classroom and the rest of the crew inside and outside of school. There are a lot of rich diverse stories in the comics and we hope that can be carried over the television series.

Big Nate(premieres September 2021 on Nickelodeon) – Based on the best-selling children’s books, written and drawn by acclaimed author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce, this new TV series will feature brand-new original storylines centered on Nate, a precocious 11-year-old boy, and his mischievous shenanigans that usually result in disaster, detention or both.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
