The Bureau Of Magical Things Nickelodeon

The first episode of The Bureau of Magical Things will be aired on Nickelodeon on October 8th at 8:30 and we are all super hype to finally get a chance to watch the show that aired overseas a few months ago. “A Magical Mishap” will introduce us to Kyra, played by Kimie Tsukakoshi, as she get transformed into a Tri-ling. Kyra will then get some magical powers and at the same time discover that there is a huge world of magic around her she never knew about before.

The magic book that Kyra touches is being battled over by Imogen, an elf played by Elizabeth Cullen, and Lily, a fairy played by Mia Milnes. Kyra must use her new powers to keep the human world safe from all of the dangers of the magical creatures and artifacts.

MONDAY, OCT. 8 at 8:30 p.m. – The Bureau of Magical Things “A Magical Mishap”
When ordinary teenager Kyra touches a mysterious book, she is transformed into a Tri-ling-–part-human, part-fairy and part-elf. In addition to acquiring amazing magical powers, Kyra discovers a secret world of magic all around her.

Based on the long trailer version we get to see Kyra as she touches that book that is being fought over. While there will be many comparisons to Harry Potter, we think that this is going to be a really fun series that capitalizes on the new love of fantasy. The best part is that it looks like the special effects look to be great and should not be something that detracts from the story, which is often the case for television.

Here is the Nickelodeon Promo where we get a quick introduction to Kyra as well:

We hear this is going to be a 20 part series where each episode will be 30 minutes so it should be a nice tight story.
