Kids Baking Championship is coming back to Food Network soon with nine new young bakers who will be challenged by Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman as they complete for the grand prize of $25,000, a feature in Food Network Magazine, and the title of Kids Baking Champion.
This year we will have contestants that range in age from 10 – 13 and include: Zach Atlas (New York, NY; age 13), Matthew Azuma (Glendora, CA; age 12), Mekdes Bass (Boulder, CO; age 10), Enzo Consani (Orlando, FL; age 10), Saylor Herrin (Ailey, GA; age 11), Taylor Inouye (Kailua, HI; age 12), Natasha Jiwani (Bellevue, WA; age 13), Issi Neufeld (Coppell, TX; age 11), and Davey Treen (Akron, OH; age 10).
You can find more information at FoodNetwork.com/KidsBakingChampionship, plus you can also see some behind the scenes with Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli. Make sure to follow on social media using #KidsBakingChampionship.
We have seen the list of episodes for this upcoming season and it looks like the kids will be doing eclairs, cakes, ice cream sandwiches, lasagna dessert imposters, popcorn desserts, bite-sized birthday party desserts, and rainbow cakes. Yum, Yum and Yum is what we have to say, we are looking forward most to the rainbow cakes as each contestant can add their own personal touches.
This season we will also get a great special guest in ventriloquist Darci Lynne and her puppet Petunia who we are HUGE fans of. She will be on the episode where they are making popcorn desserts and hopefully she will be a guest judge on that episode or help out the contestants in some way. Make sure to watch the season that starts August 6th with the season premiere and ends up September 17th with the season finale.
