Teething can be an exciting and stressful experience for both baby and parents. There are all kinds of teething toys on the market…but which one works? My search brought me to the Philips Avent animal front teeth teether…let’s see how it fared with my princess.
Product description : The Philips Avent animal front teeth teether offers a unique solution to front teeth teething pain designed to meet your baby’s changing needs.
I spent a solid week reading reviews, doing the rounds of my local baby stores, and buying a few teething duds before I came across this odd little green teether. Unlike other teethers, it does not go in the fridge, nor is it part of some odd key-chain teething set. It is also not some bulky triangle or large circle. Most teethers seem to be made for ginormous babies with large hands and even larger mouths.
The reviews online for the little green wonder were good, and I finally found it in a local store and took my chances that my little grumpy teething princess would like it.
I arrived home, sterilized i,t and handed it over to her teething majesty. She gently took it from me, gazed at it, and then, “pop”–right into the mouth. The chewing and drooling began right away. She stopped a few times, yet each time the teether found its way back to her gums and not the floor.
The great thing about this teether is that my daughter can hold it with one little hand easily. It also has a minimal weight, so there is no need for her to put it down due to it tiring her little hands. If it should hit the floor or needs a cleaning, just a little soap and water, then we are back saving the world from sore gums. When I look over all the the teethers we have tried, this one works without fail, and she tends to use it when given to her every time. This one item we keep handy or in the diaper bag for a teething emergency. I recommend this odd, little, sea-horse inspired teether; it sure has brought peace to my little girl’s gums, and to mom and dad’s ears. 🙂
It retails for about $ 5.99 at most baby super stores or online.
