Rumor – Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Bring Twilight To TV?
Since Lionsgate has bought Summit Entertainment, they have been itching for a way to expand the lifeline of the tale end of Twilight. With Breaking Dawn Part 2 being the final movie coming out in November, they want to find a way to cash in on the brand. So they are considering ways to expand it and that includes a possible TV series. The chief executive of Lionsgate, Jon Feltheimer had this to say about it.
I’m anticipating ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office, It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value…It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration, (on the rumors of Twilight going on beyond the final movie)So the simple answer is, ‘Boy, I hope so
Okay, I want to point out that he never said a TV series is their idea-but someone came up with the idea. I could see them doing another movie, maybe from Jacob or Edward’s view-or even about Edward and Bella’s daughter. With that being said, I doubt the original cast would be in it-much to Lionsgate dismay.
Do you think they bought Summit just for the rights of the Twilight Saga? I don’t know, but they already have wheels turning in their heads. I personally only want to see the story go on if Stephenie Meyer has something to do with it. Much like with the Harry Potter saga. It just wouldn’t be the same and it would take it way too far. Do you hope they drop the idea of stretching it beyond the original tale?

Personally, although I am a HUGE fan of the Twilight Saga, (I’m talking hyperventilating 5 minutes before the movie started in the midnight showing type of fan) I think a TV show would be too far. Most to almost none of the original cast would come back, and there really isn’t too much to do with it. I would, however, like to see a movie about Renesmee and Jake, but there Stephenie Meyer would have to be one of the writers, and/or write another book along with it.

If there’s going to be a tv series on Twilight, I’ll still watch although seriously, I doubt it’ll be the same without the original cast, especially Rob and Kristen. But it will be a great opportunity for fans to watch the story played out exactly like the books and the continuation of the Cullens from where the story left off in Breaking Dawn

I hope they do NOT make a series out of Twilight. I do not see how they could capture the magic of the movies or re-cast a group to replace the perfectly picked cast of the Twilight saga; the chemistry would not be there that made the movies great.

i think it would be great even without the original cast. i love the ‘twilight’ movies but we would all know that a TV series wouldn’t stop us from loving the original saga but it would be giving us more of what we love – as long as the got the casting right.

I would be interested:
1.) if Rob & Kris were involved (They are the real appeal)
2.) if it WAS NOT PG-13 rated!!!!
Since neither of these two will happen – I’m not interested

i say go for it, most of the new tv series coming out now are supernatural. Vampire Diaries is going well so if some one wants to try something new than what better time then now when it is still popular.
