There are some characters that, no matter how much time passes or how many generations grow up with them, continue to find new ways to become part of the moments that bring people together.

And when it comes to Disney, there are certainly few characters who have managed to become quite as recognizable as Mickey Mouse and his friends.

From their countless adventures across animation, television and film to the merchandise and experiences that have helped make them such an important part of popular culture, Mickey and his friends have continued to find their way into just about every corner of entertainment.

And now, it looks like they’re getting ready to take on one of the biggest events in American sports!

Disney Consumer Products and the National Football League are teaming up for an all-new collection of Mickey and Friends merchandise inspired by Super Bowl LXI, bringing together the familiar faces of Disney’s iconic characters with the colors and excitement of professional football.

With Super Bowl LXI set to take place on February 14, 2027, in Los Angeles, the new collaboration will introduce a season-long lineup of apparel, toys, collectibles and accessories celebrating both the upcoming championship game and all 32 NFL teams.

And for families who happen to love both Disney and football, there are plenty of new items to look forward to.

The collection is beginning to make its way to retailers, with products available through NFLShop.com, Fanatics.com, DisneyStore.com and select stores across the United States. Additional releases are planned throughout the football season as the excitement continues to build toward the championship game.

Leading the initial lineup is a collection of Mickey and Friends apparel from Champion, featuring T-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts celebrating Super Bowl LXI. Available in both adult and youth sizes, the collection gives fans an opportunity to bring a little Disney magic into their game-day wardrobes while showing their excitement for one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

But the new merchandise isn’t stopping with clothing.

Disney and FOCO have also introduced a selection of NFL team-branded collectibles, including plush toys, clip-on plush, bobbleheads, figurines and clear stadium bags. Featuring the official colors of individual NFL teams, the collection brings the familiar appeal of Disney’s characters into the world of football fandom, offering fans a rather playful way to represent their favorite teams.

And for collectors who enjoy something a little different, the collaboration also includes digital pins through Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs, adding another collectible element to the larger merchandise program.

But that’s only the beginning of what Disney and the NFL have planned.

As the season continues, additional products inspired by Mickey and his friends are expected to arrive from several recognizable brands, including Crocs, Just Play, New Era, WinCraft and Champion.

While the full range of upcoming products has not yet been revealed, the involvement of these companies suggests that the collaboration will extend across several different merchandise categories, giving fans plenty of opportunities to find something that fits their interests.

And considering the different audiences that both Disney and the NFL reach, there is something rather interesting about seeing the two brands come together through a collection designed for fans of all ages.

After all, football has long been an important part of family traditions for many households, whether that means gathering around the television to watch a favorite team, attending games together or celebrating the excitement surrounding the Super Bowl.

And much like Disney’s characters, those traditions are often passed down from one generation to the next.

Something that makes a collaboration like this particularly fitting.

By bringing Mickey Mouse and his friends into the world of professional football, the collection creates another way for families to connect their love of familiar characters with the teams and sporting traditions they already enjoy.

It also reflects Disney’s continued interest in expanding its presence within sports-related consumer products, an area that offers opportunities to reach audiences who might not typically engage with the company’s more traditional character merchandise.

Paul Gitter, Executive Vice President of Global Licensing at Disney Consumer Products, highlighted the growing importance of sports to the company’s merchandise business, pointing to the connection between sports, entertainment and the passionate audiences who follow their favorite teams and athletes.

And with ESPN preparing to bring viewers along the road to Super Bowl LXI, the new merchandise collection is only one part of Disney’s larger involvement with the upcoming event.

For the first time, the Super Bowl will air on ESPN and ABC while also streaming on Disney+, bringing the championship game to audiences across several of Disney’s platforms.

But the celebration won’t end when the final whistle blows.

Following Super Bowl LXI, Disneyland Resort is also set to host a championship celebration, extending the excitement of the game into one of Disney’s most recognizable destinations.

And while the football season itself is certainly the focus of the collaboration, there is something fun about seeing Mickey and his friends become part of an event that reaches well beyond the world of traditional Disney entertainment.

For younger fans, the new merchandise offers another opportunity to enjoy characters they already recognize, while older audiences and longtime football supporters can discover collectibles and apparel that bring together two very different parts of popular culture.

The Mickey and Friends NFL merchandise collection is rolling out throughout the 2026–2027 football season, with products featuring the official colors of all 32 NFL teams alongside special Super Bowl LXI branding.

Additional releases from Crocs, Just Play, New Era, WinCraft and Champion are expected in the months leading up to the championship game.

And with Super Bowl LXI heading to Los Angeles on February 14, 2027, it looks like Mickey Mouse and his friends are getting ready to bring a little extra Disney magic to one of football’s biggest celebrations!
