Care Bears Is Bringing a Beary Merry Christmas to Rockefeller Center and FAO Schwarz!

There are some characters that, no matter how many years pass, continue to hold a special place in the hearts of generations of fans. And when it comes to spreading a little kindness, friendship and plenty of colorful cheer, there are few quite as recognizable as the Care Bears.

Now, as the beloved brand prepares to celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2027, the Caring Crew is getting ready to kick off the festivities a little early with a holiday celebration in the heart of New York City!

Beginning November 7, Care Bears will be bringing its colorful world to Rockefeller Center and the iconic FAO Schwarz flagship store with a series of special holiday experiences, exclusive merchandise and opportunities for families to spend a little time with some of their favorite characters.

And what better way to begin the holiday season than with the arrival of one of New York City’s most recognizable Christmas traditions?

On Saturday, November 7, six beloved Care Bears characters will come together for Rockefeller Center’s Meet the Tree Holiday Workshop, marking the largest character appearance at a single event in the brand’s history. The celebration will invite families to take part in activities centered around the very things that have made Care Bears so beloved for nearly 45 years: caring, sharing and spreading kindness to those around us.

Throughout the event, guests will be able to share their Christmas wishes at The Caring Tree, write holiday letters and create their own keepsakes at the Care-A-Lot Craft Corner. From friendship bracelets and bag charms to festive ornaments, there will be plenty of opportunities for children to get creative while collecting stamps in their very own Care-A-Lot Passport. Additional holiday surprises and giveaways will also be available at the Top of the Rock Observation Deck.

But the festivities aren’t stopping there!

Just a short walk away, FAO Schwarz will be welcoming an all-new Care Bears Christmas Shop, bringing together a collection of toys, collectibles, crafts and holiday merchandise from 12 licensing partners, including Aurora, ZURU, Goliath, POP MART, The Woobles and more.

And for collectors, there are also a couple of special surprises waiting.

The shop will feature two FAO Schwarz holiday exclusives, including the upcoming Rainbow High Dolls x Care Bears collaboration and Care Bears Hyojo collectibles, giving fans an opportunity to pick up the new releases ahead of their wider retail launch in early 2027.

The celebration will even extend into the store’s famous holiday window displays, bringing a little extra Care-A-Lot magic to Rockefeller Center throughout the Christmas season.

Of course, these holiday festivities are only the beginning of what is shaping up to be a rather special year for the brand. With Care Bears preparing to celebrate 45 Years of Caring in 2027, fans can also look forward to the return of the Care Bear Cousins from the Forest of Feelings, alongside new collaborations and experiences planned as part of the anniversary celebrations.

The Care Bears Meet the Tree Holiday Workshop will take place Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET at 1 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Meanwhile, the Care Bears Christmas Shop at FAO Schwarz, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, will welcome visitors from November 7, 2026, through January 10, 2027.
