Get ready to set sail for the high seas because one of Disney’s most beloved adventure franchises is preparing to welcome audiences into the world of pirates, hidden treasures and unforgettable characters in an entirely new way!
For more than two decades, Pirates of the Caribbean has captured the imaginations of audiences with its extraordinary adventures, memorable characters and, of course, the wonderfully unpredictable Captain Jack Sparrow. And now, instead of simply watching the adventures unfold on screen, fans will have an opportunity to become part of the story themselves!
Secret Cinema and TodayTix have announced new details surrounding Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure, an upcoming theatrical experience arriving in London in February 2027.
Leading the production will be Olivier Award-winning actor George Maguire as Captain Jack Sparrow, alongside Phil Daniels as Captain Barbossa. Lily Blunsom will portray Elizabeth Swann, Harrison Wilde will take on the role of Will Turner, and Gleanne Purcell-Brown will bring Anamaria to life.
Inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, the production will invite audiences to step directly into the world of the beloved film through an immersive adventure unlike a traditional stage show.
Rather than remaining seated and watching the story unfold, guests will be able to explore elaborate sets, encounter familiar characters and participate in the action throughout the two-hour experience. With live performances, exciting stunts, music and selected moments from the original film, the production aims to recreate the atmosphere of the Pirates of the Caribbean universe while allowing audiences to experience the adventure from an entirely different perspective.
And for longtime Disney fans, the opportunity to explore the world of Tortuga and encounter characters like Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann is certainly an exciting prospect!
The production will be directed by Olivier Award winner Matt Costain, with a creative team bringing together talent from theater, film and live entertainment to transform the familiar cinematic adventure into an interactive experience.
Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure will begin previews on February 16, 2027, before officially opening March 10 at Secret Cinema’s new riverside venue on London’s Greenwich Peninsula. Due to strong demand, the production has already extended its scheduled run by an additional six weeks.
For families and Disney enthusiasts planning a visit, the upcoming experience offers a new way to discover the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, where the adventure doesn’t simply happen on the screen, but all around you.
After all, what better way to experience the high seas than by joining the pirates themselves?
