There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who are looking forward to November strictly because the holidays will be arriving, and others because we are finally leaving the Miraculous hiatus behind as season seven arrives. The latter are also growing increasingly excited and nervous as the month approaches.
And those nerves now have us on the edge of our seats as we finally get our first taste of season seven, with an early look at what is already shaping up to be a jaw-dropping season. Ahead of the full trailer release, Miraculous Corp has uploaded a short teaser to its official social media accounts, giving fans a glimpse of what they can look forward to.
And our hearts are already aching.
The tone isn’t the usual upbeat one fans are used to. No, that tone seems to have left after Gabriel’s final move. While season six was intense and packed with emotional punches, it looks like heightened emotions and an even more somber atmosphere may be the new reality for our characters.
We see our main couple standing together, looking out at the rain, with a noticeably downtrodden mood surrounding them. We don’t even need to see their faces in this frame to recognize that this doesn’t appear to be a pleasant exchange between two people madly in love. Add in the close-up we see later of Marinette crying and a very somber, angled shot of Adrien, and we know these two are carrying some aching hearts.
Has Marinette decided to break up with her long-cherished crush? Have the secrets surrounding Gabriel divided them? Or have all the masks finally come off in this relationship? For a fated couple, they certainly have a lot of challenges standing in their way.
But they aren’t the only ones struggling. We also see Alya looking upset and even Lila appearing dismayed. While these emotions tell us quite a bit about what may be coming, perhaps the most telling detail is a recurring blue light. We see it with Lila, as well as with Marinette and Alya in Marinette’s room. What is this light, what does it mean, and why is it appearing on both sides of the fight? Is this the Kingdom, or is another power pulling everyone’s strings?
Something, possibly something very dark, is coming to Paris. Emotions may be running high, hearts may be breaking, and bonds may be shaken to their core, but everyone appears ready to boldly jump into action. Not only Ladybug, but a fully exposed Chrysalis.
The stakes are rising, and the time to save everyone may also be narrowing. Maybe even all those secrets are approaching their expiration dates.
There is so much to dissect and analyze, including the newly released key visual.

Once again, our poster features only our leading heroes. Their bodies are moving in opposite directions, with their backs to one another, yet their faces and eyes remain locked on each other. Are they moving apart? Fighting to stay together? Or saying a long goodbye? There is so much drama in this imagery, and it speaks to both where these characters have been and where they may be going.
With our heroes positioned high above a brightly lit Paris, one particularly noteworthy detail is the city below. While its lights shine, the city is also washed in a sea of purple, the color associated with the Butterfly Miraculous. This leads us to wonder whether the trouble facing Paris is only growing and whether the city can truly be alright unless these two heroes find a way to stand together.
In what has already been promised to be another epic season, we are about to dive deeper into this world, its characters, and the mystery surrounding who has really been causing all this trouble. With emotions running high, secrets hanging in the balance, and the fate of Paris potentially resting on bonds that are already being tested, this is certainly not a season to miss. Be sure to catch season seven of Miraculous on November 20!
Because yes, the world of Miraculous is changing.
