Kung Fu Panda Kicks Into FIFA Heroes With New Crossover Event!

There are some characters who have a rather remarkable way of finding themselves in the most unexpected situations. Whether they’re embarking on extraordinary adventures, discovering new friendships or taking on challenges that seem entirely outside their comfort zones, these familiar faces have become beloved parts of our entertainment landscape. And when it comes to unlikely heroes who have proven that determination and a little unconventional thinking can go a long way, few are quite as memorable as Po from DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda.

Since his introduction in 2008, the lovable Dragon Warrior has taken audiences on adventures filled with martial arts, humor and lessons about believing in yourself. But while we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Po and his friends defending the Valley of Peace, it seems their newest challenge is taking them somewhere a little different.

Because this time, the Dragon Warrior is trading his martial arts adventures for the soccer field!

FIFA Heroes has officially welcomed characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda franchise through a new limited-time Season Pass, bringing together two rather unexpected worlds in a crossover event running through November 8.

Developed in collaboration with Universal, the event introduces Po alongside several familiar faces from across the franchise, including Tigress, Grand Master Oogway, Tai Lung and Zhen. It’s certainly an interesting collection of characters to bring onto the field, particularly when you consider just how differently each of them approaches a challenge. And while we’re accustomed to watching these characters put their martial arts abilities to the test, seeing them become part of a soccer-inspired gaming experience offers fans a playful new way to interact with the franchise.

Throughout the Season Pass, players can unlock a variety of themed rewards inspired by Kung Fu Panda, including playable characters, avatars, emojis, goal celebrations and player titles. Additional customization options include six new avatars, with Master Shifu among the featured characters, alongside themed lockers and other collectibles that bring a little of the Dragon Warrior’s world into the game.

For those unfamiliar with FIFA Heroes, the mobile title combines soccer with elements of entertainment and popular culture, bringing together recognizable football personalities, FIFA World Cup mascots, mythical figures and crossover characters for short, arcade-style matches. Rather than focusing solely on traditional soccer gameplay, the experience embraces a more imaginative approach to the sport, making a crossover with a franchise like Kung Fu Panda an especially fitting addition.

And with Po’s rather unconventional journey from enthusiastic kung fu fan to legendary Dragon Warrior, there’s something amusing about imagining how he might approach an entirely new sport. After all, this is a character who has never been particularly interested in doing things the ordinary way, and that’s part of what has made his adventures so entertaining for audiences of all ages.

The Kung Fu Panda Season Pass is available in FIFA Heroes through November 8, 2026, with the game currently available on iOS and Android devices.

So, whether you’re a longtime fan of the Dragon Warrior or simply enjoy seeing familiar characters appear in unexpected places, it looks like the world of Kung Fu Panda has found another adventure to explore.

And who knows? Perhaps all those years of kung fu training might come in handy when it’s time to score the winning goal!
