It Really Is Bluey’s World as BBC Studios Reveals Even More Ways for Families to “Play the Bluey Way”

It Really Is Bluey’s World as BBC Studios Reveals Even More Ways for Families to “Play the Bluey Way”

At this point, we may need to accept that we are all simply living in Bluey’s world.

We’ve watched the Heeler family turn everyday moments into adventures on screen. We’ve built with them, played games with them, read their stories and listened to their music. Now Bluey is finding even more ways to become part of everyday family life as BBC Studios prepares to showcase the continued growth of the global phenomenon at Brand Licensing Europe 2026.

And when we say everyday life, we really do mean everyday.

Toys, cereal bars, sunscreen, glasses, books, audio stories, video games, birthday parties, collectibles and more are all part of the growing Bluey universe, as BBC Studios continues its “Play the Bluey Way” campaign and 2026 “Playdates with Friends” theme.

Of course, quite a few of these announcements should already sound familiar to BSCKids readers.

One of the biggest expansions begins this fall through BBC Studios’ multi-year global partnership with Mattel, which is bringing Bluey into some of the toy company’s most recognizable brands. Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Polly Pocket and UNO are all getting in on the Bluey fun, giving families several very different ways to bring the Heelers into playtime.

Then there are the blocks.

MAGNA-TILES will introduce Bluey magnetic building sets across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Eire, the Nordics, EMEA, Australia and New Zealand in 2027. Addo/Early Learning Centre is also preparing developmental wooden toys for later this year, while familiar Bluey partners including Moose Toys, LEGO, VTech and TOMY continue expanding their own ranges.

But toys are only part of what makes Bluey’s current growth so interesting.

BBC Studios is increasingly moving the character into the little routines that make up a family’s day.

Breakfast or snack time? Kellogg’s has Bluey cereal bars.

Dinner? Heinz is bringing Bluey Pasta Shapes.

Heading outside? Childs Farm is expanding its existing partnership with a Bluey suncare line.

Need a new pair of glasses? Bluey frames have even joined the Specsavers prescription range.

None of those things are particularly extraordinary parts of childhood on their own, and that’s precisely why they fit.

So much of “Bluey” has always been about finding imagination, humor and connection inside the seemingly ordinary parts of family life. Expanding the brand into products children encounter during those same routines feels considerably more natural than simply putting Bluey’s face on everything possible.

That approach is stretching into entertainment beyond the screen too.

Tonies is rolling out Bluey character figures and audio content across North America, DACH, the U.K., France, Australia and New Zealand, alongside the new Tonieplay Game. Publishing continues to grow with DK’s first LEGO DUPLO Bluey title, “Flatpack,” new LEGO Bluey activity books from AMEET and an expanded range from Penguin Random House.

Then there is a new way to say cheese.

“Bluey’s Happy Snaps,” a new video game built around photography and familiar locations from the series, launches October 15. Music fans will also be able to bring home “The Bluey Album” box set in November, collecting all four Bluey albums together on CD and vinyl.

And when it’s time for a birthday, Bluey apparently has that covered too.

Procos and Unique are expanding Bluey partyware across EMEA and the U.K., while the brand’s lifestyle and collectible presence continues to grow with Funko Pop! figures arriving at major EMEA retailers and a new global partnership with clothing and lifestyle retailer LC Waikiki.

It’s a rather staggering footprint for one little blue heeler.

But the more interesting story isn’t necessarily how many Bluey products now exist. It’s where they exist.

BBC Studios describes its approach as finding ways for families to experience a story beyond the screen while preserving what audiences connected with in the first place. In Bluey’s case, that means play, family and emotional connection remain at the center even as the franchise stretches across increasingly different categories.

That distinction matters.

“Bluey” became beloved by taking ordinary childhood and making it feel extraordinary. A backyard becomes another world. A simple game becomes a memory. A few minutes between parents and children can become an entire story.

So perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that Bluey’s life beyond television is increasingly following the same philosophy.

Build something together.

Listen to a story.

Take a picture.

Get ready for school.

Have a snack.

Throw a birthday party.

Play.

Bluey doesn’t necessarily need families to enter her world anymore.

More and more, she’s finding little ways to become part of theirs.

BBC Studios will showcase Bluey and its wider licensing portfolio at Brand Licensing Europe 2026, taking place October 6-8 at Excel London.

And with even more partnerships continuing across toys, publishing, games, food, lifestyle and family experiences around the world, we’re beginning to think “Play the Bluey Way” isn’t just a campaign anymore.

It might be a way of life.

Mother of three. That does not include the dog or my husband either! We have a full household of fun and we just love trying new products of all varieties. May not watch as many kids shows as the rest of the family though.
