Embrace The Mermaid Power- New Music Video and Trailer Released For “Mermaid Magic”

They are making waves this fall.

While everyone is embracing the arrival of the cozy season, there is still time to make a splash — or two — with the mermaids all the way from Mertropia.

Coming this month, Rainbow’s newest magical-girl entry, Mermaid Magic, is about to arrive on Netflix for its second season.

The last time we saw Merlinda and her friends, they had managed to save their kingdom and restore balance…at least from their side of the portal, that is. Now, there is danger looming once again, as we see in the newest trailer.

Sure, Merlinda was able to save the day before. But her coming-of-age ceremony may be more than even she trained for, especially with more danger looming that drives Merlinda from her home and back into the human world. While she may be accompanied by her allies, it is up to her to unlock her full power, save her realm — and, naturally, grow even closer to Tyler as their budding romance continues.

Romance is also in the air for Nerissa, and there are plenty of fun adventures to be had on land with “pirates.” But another danger is growing there as well: Tracy is onto the girls and ready to expose them and their mermaid secrets.

With so much on the line, this is way more than high school for these five teens could have ever prepared them for. But you can count on the mermaids and their human friends to win in the end.

At least, we hope.

While there are mounting questions surrounding the feats these characters must face in their next chapter, one thing is certain: there will be — in true Rainbow storytelling fashion — music.

While Mermaid Magic has yet to fully grow its own massive musical library like its big sister Winx Club, a new music video featuring the upcoming Season 2 song “Embrace Our Powers” has arrived ahead of the series’ return.

Not only have we had this video on loop, but it speaks to something that has already become clear this early on.

Mermaid Magic has found its legs and is carving its own unique path.

And this time around, everything — the danger, the magic and the music — feels bigger and more cinematic.

The girls aren’t sneaking around the kingdom anymore, learning to use their powers and readying themselves for whenever “someday” finally comes. They have already seen that day arrive. They fell, stood back up and kept moving forward.

They aren’t preparing to become heroes anymore.

They already are.

Now, they have fully stepped into who they are and are ready to face whatever comes next together. And something is already telling us that they — along with Tyler and Celia — will need one another more than ever.

They spent their first adventure preparing for the day they would need their powers.

That day has already come.

Now, it’s time to embrace them.

The only question left is what happens when their worlds collide.
