Dr. Seuss Is Bringing the Magic of Learning to Life With New Learn & Play App!

For generations, the wonderful and often rather unusual worlds of Dr. Seuss have helped introduce young readers to the magic of storytelling. From the mischievous adventures of the Cat in the Hat to the colorful world of the Lorax, these beloved characters have become a familiar part of childhood, encouraging children to explore their imaginations while discovering the joy of reading.

And now, some of those familiar faces are preparing to help young children discover something new!

Dr. Seuss Enterprises has officially launched Dr. Seuss: Learn & Play, an all-new educational app designed to bring the colorful world of Dr. Seuss into an interactive learning experience for children ages two through eight.

Featuring more than 100 games at launch, the new app invites young learners to join some of their favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, the Lorax, Fox in Socks, the Sneetches and characters from One Fish Two Fish, as they explore a variety of activities designed to help develop important early childhood skills.

And while the familiar characters and colorful worlds are certainly part of the fun, there is also a strong educational focus behind the new experience.

Developed alongside educational consultants and learning specialists, each game connects to at least one STEAM learning category and developmental area, helping children strengthen everything from language and problem-solving abilities to creativity, motor skills and social-emotional development.

For parents, the app also offers an experience designed with younger children in mind, featuring no advertisements, in-app purchases or data tracking. And with no Wi-Fi connection required to play, children can continue their learning adventures even when an internet connection isn’t available.

But perhaps one of the most important parts of the new launch is the effort to make these educational experiences accessible to more families.

Through a partnership with First Book, Dr. Seuss Enterprises will provide free access to Dr. Seuss: Learn & Play for preschool and early-grade students attending Title I schools across the United States, as well as children participating in other low-income community programs. Eligible students will be able to access the app for up to one year at no cost.

For other families, the app is available to download on iOS through a monthly subscription of $7.99.

And the learning adventures are only getting started!

Dr. Seuss Enterprises plans to continue expanding the app with new games and interactive experiences arriving every month, giving young children even more opportunities to learn alongside the characters they know and love.

With its combination of familiar storytelling, colorful characters and hands-on educational activities, Dr. Seuss: Learn & Play is opening another door into the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss, this time inviting children to become part of the adventure themselves.
