Disney+ Is Bringing the Next Generation of Women in Racing Into the Spotlight With “The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY”

For generations, the world of motorsports has been home to some truly extraordinary stories of ambition, determination and individuals willing to push themselves beyond what many believed possible. And while racing has traditionally been a male-dominated sport, a new generation of young women is working to change that, proving that talent, passion and the drive to succeed know no boundaries.

And this November, Disney is bringing their stories to audiences around the world!

Disney+ has officially announced The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY, an all-new documentary special premiering globally on November 19, 2026, just ahead of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The upcoming special will take viewers behind the scenes of the 2025 F1 ACADEMY season, following rising racing talents Doriane Pin, Maya Weug, Chloe Chambers and Alisha Palmowski as they work toward their dreams of competing at the highest levels of motorsport.

Created by Formula 1 to help develop and prepare young women for advancement in professional racing, F1 ACADEMY has become an important part of creating new opportunities for female drivers. And while the excitement of race weekends is certainly a major part of their journeys, The Pursuit will explore the personal sacrifices, challenges and determination that exist beyond the track.

Filmed across international racing locations, the documentary will also introduce audiences to the teams and individuals helping shape the future of the series, including F1 ACADEMY Managing Director Susie Wolff.

The special is the latest addition to Disney’s Fuel the Magic collaboration with Formula 1 and F1 ACADEMY, which has brought together the worlds of racing and Disney entertainment through special experiences, merchandise and familiar characters. Earlier this year, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck became central figures in the partnership’s F1 ACADEMY expansion, celebrating confidence, representation and the possibilities awaiting the next generation of women in motorsports.

And with The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY, that message is being brought to life through the experiences of the drivers themselves.

For younger viewers, especially girls who may be discovering an interest in racing, the documentary offers an opportunity to see what pursuing a dream in professional motorsports actually looks like, from the excitement of competition to the resilience required when things don’t go according to plan.

The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY premieres exclusively on Disney+ November 19, with the special also scheduled to arrive on the ESPN App later this year.
