Come On Barbie, Let’s Go Power Washing in New “PowerWash Simulator 2” DLC

Life in plastic might be fantastic, but apparently keeping that plastic clean requires a surprising amount of power washing.

Barbie’s endlessly pink world is heading somewhere considerably muckier later this year as FuturLab brings the iconic Mattel brand to “PowerWash Simulator 2” with a new premium Barbie Pack. And really, there is something strangely satisfying about seeing one of the most polished worlds in pop culture covered in enough grime to require industrial cleaning equipment.

Come on Barbie, let’s go power washing.

Arriving sometime in late 2026, the Barbie Pack will send players to Malibu for five new levels inspired by actual Barbie playsets and locations. Players will be able to make their way through the DreamHouse, take a ride on its elevator and even spend some time around the Dream Camper—although sightseeing will have to wait until someone deals with all that dirt.

Naturally, you can at least dress appropriately for the occasion. The DLC includes a new Barbie-themed outfit for your cleaner alongside equipment needed to reach some of those particularly troublesome spots, including an abseiling kit and scissor lift.

It might not be the pink convertible, but sometimes practicality wins.

The collaboration is an amusing fit precisely because Barbie and “PowerWash Simulator” occupy such different corners of play. Barbie’s world is built around imagination, fashion and aspirational spaces where everything seems ready for the perfect day in Malibu. “PowerWash Simulator,” meanwhile, looks at those pristine surfaces and asks what would happen if they were absolutely filthy.

The answer, apparently, is five levels worth of cleaning.

Players won’t have to tackle the DreamHouse deep clean alone either. The Barbie Pack supports the same multiplayer options found throughout “PowerWash Simulator 2,” including two-player split-screen co-op and Free Play sessions for up to four players. Solo cleaners can, of course, take responsibility for restoring Malibu to its usual sparkling condition themselves.

Barbie also joins a growing collection of rather unexpected worlds that have discovered the strangely relaxing joy of being blasted clean. The Barbie Pack will be the third premium DLC released for “PowerWash Simulator 2,” following previous collaborations with “Adventure Time” and “Star Wars.”

Perhaps that is part of what makes these crossovers so entertaining. “PowerWash Simulator” can take worlds we recognize immediately, make them unbelievably dirty and then hand us the equipment to methodically put everything right again. With decades of recognizable houses, vehicles and playsets behind her, Barbie certainly isn’t short on things that could use a good scrub.

The Barbie Pack will arrive for “PowerWash Simulator 2” in late 2026 for $7.99, with an exact release date still to be announced. The base game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
