September might mark the beginning of cooler days, changing leaves and another back-to-school season, but things are only heating up on Disney+ and Hulu.
As summer begins to fade into the distance, a new season of streaming adventures is ready to take its place. And for younger viewers and families, September is bringing plenty of action, magic, familiar friends and even a few early Halloween treats along for the ride.
For Dragon Striker: Gorotama Stars fans, there is especially good news. While we still have a bit of a wait before Key, Ssyelle and the Knights officially return for season two, Disney+ is helping make that hiatus a little easier with more season one episodes arriving throughout September. New episodes are set for September 7, 14 and 21, giving fans another chance to enter the world where sports and magic collide, as Key learns to control the powerful dragon within him and the Knights uncover the ancient danger threatening their world.
And, naturally, if you need even more Dragon Striker while we wait for season two, make sure to check out our additional coverage of the series and our interview with the creative team behind the adventure!
But the Knights are far from the only familiar heroes getting into the action.
September kicks things off with new episodes of Disney Jr. Ariel – The Little Mermaid on September 1 before heading to a galaxy far, far away on September 2 with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. The theatrical adventure makes its Disney+ debut alongside a two-episode premiere of its official behind-the-scenes podcast and LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian, a comedic retelling of all three seasons of the live-action series aimed at families and younger audiences.
Spider-Man fans are also getting a double dose of web-slinging action when Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home arrive on Disney+ September 4.
Then it is time to catch ’em all!
Pokémon: Indigo League brings new episodes to Disney+ on September 9, returning viewers to the beginning of Ash Ketchum’s journey alongside Pikachu, Misty, Brock and plenty of familiar Pokémon friends. Meanwhile, Beyblade X Season 2D arrives on Hulu September 14 with all of its episodes streaming at once.
For those looking for something a little more magical, Magicampers: Shorts returns for its second season on September 18, following best friends Darly and Loomis through more adventures at their fantastical day camp for magical creatures. Younger viewers can also head to The Melon Patch when ten episodes of CoComelon: The Melon Patch arrive September 21.
And as September starts inching us closer to spooky season, some super-powered friends are getting an early start on Halloween.
Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! swings onto Disney+ September 25, while the SuperKitties get into the seasonal spirit with the SuperKitties: Howl-O-Ween Charm special on September 29.
There is even some Disney Princess magic waiting later in the month, with Disney Princess: Create Your World x The LEGO Group coming to Hulu on September 22.
So while the temperatures outside might finally be getting ready to cool down, the action beats certainly are not.
From dragons and superheroes to Pokémon, Jedi, Magical Campers and the first hints of Halloween, Disney+ and Hulu are packing September with plenty of adventures to help kick off an entirely new season of streaming.
