Whether it is opening your first book alongside Batman and Superman, spending an afternoon doodling with the Teen Titans or getting to make the decisions in an adventure starring some of DC’s most iconic characters, books offer another way to step inside the worlds we already love.
And there are about to be a lot more of them.
HarperCollins and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have entered into a new multiyear publishing partnership that will bring DC’s massive library of Super Heroes and Super-Villains into a wide range of new children’s books.
Published through the HarperPop imprint, the collection is not being limited to traditional storybooks either.
Young readers can expect everything from I Can Read leveled readers and storybook collections to sticker books, activity books, coloring and doodle books and even interactive middle-grade adventures.
And naturally, plenty of familiar faces are coming along.
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Krypto, the Teen Titans, The Joker and Catwoman are among the characters expected to appear throughout the publishing program, giving kids several different ways to spend some reading time with their favorites.
The first books are already beginning to arrive.
“DC: I Am a Super Hero,” an I Can Read Level 1 title, brings Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman together for an adventure that sees the heroic trio taking on the bad guys. For kids who would rather pick up a pencil and get creative, “Teen Titans Go! Doodles” includes more than 85 doodling activities inspired by the animated series.
And this is only the beginning.
“Merry Little Batman: A Sticker Storybook Adventure” will arrive in September 2026, followed by “Teen Titans Go! Totally Awesome Sticker and Activity Book” in October.
The publishing lineup will continue into 2027 with “DC The Joker Takes Over,” an interactive adventure arriving in March, while the wonderfully titled “Batman Breaks for the Bathroom” will bring the Dark Knight into the world of potty-training board books in April.
Yes. Batman is apparently ready to fight crime and help with bathroom breaks.
Additional releases are already planned through 2028, making this a sizable new expansion for DC’s younger readers.
What makes the partnership particularly fun is the range of ages and reading levels it is designed to reach. A child might first encounter these characters through a board book or early reader before eventually moving into longer and more interactive adventures.
For generations, characters like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman have been passed from parents to kids through comics, cartoons, movies, toys and plenty of bedtime stories.
Now there are going to be even more books waiting on the shelf to help introduce the next generation to them.
Because sometimes becoming a Super Hero starts with something as simple as learning to turn the page.
