Some series don’t simply end—they leave behind a legacy that continues to inspire fans and creators alike. Few modern Disney Television Animation productions have reached that level quite like Gravity Falls.
Now, fans are being invited back to the mysterious town of Gravity Falls as Disney Experiences and Gallery Nucleus celebrate one of the studio’s most influential animated series with The Art of Gravity Falls: 10 Years Post-Weirdmageddon.
Running September 26 through October 11, the tribute exhibition honors the 10th anniversary of the series finale while also building excitement toward the show’s upcoming 15th anniversary. At the heart of the celebration is the release of The Art of Gravity Falls, a massive new art book from creator Alex Hirsch and producer Rob Renzetti featuring more than 2,000 pieces of production artwork, storyboards, early concepts, never-before-seen material and commentary chronicling the creative journey behind the series.
For longtime fans, the exhibit serves as a celebration of the artistry that helped make Gravity Falls one of Disney’s defining animated series. From its unforgettable mysteries and layered storytelling to its memorable cast of characters and cinematic visual style, the show continues to influence animation more than a decade after its debut.
The opening day festivities will feature creator Alex Hirsch for a special ticketed Q&A, live drawing session based on audience suggestions and book signing, giving fans a rare opportunity to hear firsthand about the creative process behind the series while celebrating the impact it continues to have across animation.
Adding to the experience is a remarkable scale model recreation of the town of Gravity Falls from sculptor and creature artist KreatureKid, whose detailed work has become well known among fans. Visitors can also explore an extensive gallery showcasing artwork from dozens of professional artists paying tribute to the series through original illustrations inspired by its world and characters.
Exclusive event merchandise will also be available throughout the exhibition, including new Gravity Falls art prints, copies of The Art of Gravity Falls and additional collectibles that will be revealed closer to the event.
More than a decade after audiences first followed Dipper and Mabel Pines into the mysteries hidden within the Oregon woods, Gravity Falls continues to stand as one of Disney Television Animation’s most celebrated achievements. Through its heartfelt storytelling, unforgettable humor, intricate mysteries and artistic ambition, the series has built a passionate fanbase that continues discovering—and rediscovering—its secrets.
With The Art of Gravity Falls: 10 Years Post-Weirdmageddon, Disney Experiences and Gallery Nucleus aren’t simply looking back at a beloved series—they’re honoring the creative legacy of a modern animation classic while giving fans another reason to return to one of Disney’s most iconic worlds.
