From the pages of bestselling graphic novels to theaters, and now wardrobes around the world, Dog Man continues proving that today’s biggest children’s franchises are expanding well beyond their original stories.
Dav Pilkey’s beloved hero is set for another major milestone as Fauna Entertainment has secured a global licensing partnership with international retailer LC Waikiki, bringing Dog Man into more than 1,300 stores across over 60 countries.
The first wave of products introduces the franchise into the lifestyle space with a broad assortment of everyday essentials including children’s apparel, sleepwear, socks and water bottles, giving young fans even more ways to take their favorite hero beyond the bookshelf.
The collaboration represents another example of how entertainment brands are increasingly becoming part of consumers’ everyday lives. Rather than existing solely through books, television or film, successful IPs are now expanding into fashion, home goods, accessories and other lifestyle categories that keep fans connected long after the story ends.
With LC Waikiki’s expansive international retail footprint spanning Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and beyond, the partnership also significantly broadens Dog Man’s global presence as the franchise continues reaching new audiences.
The rollout marks another chapter in the continued growth of the Dog Man brand, reinforcing how today’s strongest children’s franchises are evolving into complete lifestyle properties that extend far beyond their original medium.
