The world of Avatar continues to grow far beyond the television screen.
As the beloved franchise prepares to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Legend of Korra, Paramount has announced a brand-new orchestral concert experience, giving fans another opportunity to step inside one of animation’s most celebrated worlds through the power of live music.
Beginning in January 2027, The Legend of Korra In Concert will launch with simultaneous North American and European tours. The live-to-picture production combines a full orchestra with high-definition projections that revisit Korra’s journey in chronological order, allowing audiences to experience composer Jeremy Zuckerman’s acclaimed score performed live while iconic moments from the series unfold on screen. Exclusive merchandise will also be available at tour stops, further transforming each performance into a celebration of the franchise.
The North American tour will visit more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, Dallas, Detroit, Boston, Brooklyn, New Orleans and many more. The tour opens Jan. 10 at Omaha’s Orpheum Theatre before concluding the first announced U.S. leg on March 9 at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans.
Tickets go on sale July 17, giving longtime fans the opportunity to secure seats for one of the franchise’s biggest anniversary celebrations.
The announcement also highlights just how much the Avatar franchise has expanded over the past several years.
What began as an acclaimed animated television series has steadily evolved into one of animation’s largest multimedia universes. Alongside the overwhelming success of Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert—which has sold more than 500,000 tickets across multiple tours—the franchise is also entering an exciting new chapter with the upcoming release of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and the debut of Avatar: Seven Havens in 2027.
That growth also reflects a broader shift in modern fandom.
Today’s audiences aren’t simply watching their favorite stories—they’re looking for new ways to experience them. Live orchestral concerts, immersive attractions, anniversary celebrations and exclusive merchandise have become an increasingly important part of how fans connect with the worlds they love, transforming beloved animated series into shared community experiences that extend far beyond the final episode.
For The Legend of Korra, the concert also offers something uniquely its own. Jeremy Zuckerman’s score blends orchestral, jazz and electronic influences to reflect Korra’s more modern world, creating a musical identity distinct from Avatar: The Last Airbender while remaining unmistakably part of the same universe. Hearing that music performed by a live symphony promises to give fans an entirely new appreciation for one of animation’s most celebrated soundtracks.
The decision to launch a dedicated Legend of Korra concert also speaks to the enduring legacy of the sequel series itself. Fifteen years after its premiere, Korra continues inspiring audiences around the world, proving the Avatar universe has grown well beyond a single television series into a global fandom.
As Avatar continues expanding across film, television and live entertainment, one thing has become increasingly clear: these stories are no longer confined to the screen. They’re becoming experiences that invite fans to gather, celebrate and immerse themselves in the Four Nations together.
