Step Inside Wonka’s Chocolate Factory As Fiction Becomes Reality In “Wonka’s The Golden Ticket”

Step Inside Wonka’s Chocolate Factory As Fiction Becomes Reality In “Wonka’s The Golden Ticket”

For generations, readers and moviegoers have dreamed of finding a Golden Ticket tucked inside a chocolate bar.

Now, that timeless fantasy is becoming reality.

Netflix has officially unveiled Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, an all-new reality competition series inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, inviting lucky contestants to step beyond the factory gates and experience the wonder, temptation and surprises that have captivated audiences for decades.

Premiering Sept. 23, the series blurs the line between fiction and reality as 12 Golden Ticket winners, each joined by a partner of their choosing, enter a real-life recreation of Wonka’s legendary chocolate factory.

Much like Charlie Bucket before them, contestants won’t simply be touring the factory. Instead, they’ll navigate a series of imaginative challenges and unexpected temptations designed to test not only their physical and mental abilities, but also their character. Along the way, the whimsical world promises plenty of surprises—including encounters with the factory’s famous Oompa Loompas—as players compete for a life-changing grand prize.

Adding another heartfelt connection to the franchise’s legacy, the series will feature the recreated voice of Gene Wilder’s unforgettable Willy Wonka with the blessing of his estate. Fans of the beloved 1971 film will also see Rusty Goffe return to reprise his role as an Oompa Loompa, creating another bridge between one of cinema’s most cherished classics and this brand-new experience.

More than 60 years after Roald Dahl first introduced readers to Charlie Bucket’s extraordinary adventure, Wonka’s The Golden Ticket represents another exciting evolution of the beloved story. Rather than simply revisiting the Chocolate Factory, the series invites audiences to imagine what it would be like if they were the ones lucky enough to discover a Golden Ticket of their own.

As immersive entertainment continues to grow, experiences like Wonka’s The Golden Ticket showcase how some of storytelling’s most iconic fictional worlds are beginning to step beyond the page and screen, giving fans the opportunity to experience those magical adventures in entirely new ways.

Wonka’s The Golden Ticket premieres Sept. 23 on Netflix, with a two-part finale arriving Sept. 30.
