Children’s entertainment brands are increasingly becoming part of everyday life—and not just through television, movies or toys.
From theme parks and museums to restaurants, sporting events and community celebrations, family entertainment franchises are finding new ways to meet audiences where they already are. The latest example comes from Care Bears, as the beloved franchise continues expanding beyond traditional licensing through a growing series of live sports experiences across the United States.
Dubbed Care-A-Lot Clubhouse, the initiative brings Care Bears directly into stadiums and arenas through partnerships with teams across Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the Women’s National Basketball Association, transforming game day into another place where families can connect with one of pop culture’s most recognizable brands.
The program includes character appearances, themed ticket packages, exclusive merchandise, plush giveaways, Jumbotron moments and community-focused initiatives that allow Care Bears to become part of the live event experience rather than simply appearing on licensed products.
For a brand built around kindness, friendship and togetherness, sports have become a natural extension of those values. Stadiums remain one of the few places where multiple generations regularly gather together, creating new opportunities for family entertainment properties to build meaningful connections outside traditional media.
Care Bears first explored that opportunity internationally through collaborations with Taiwan’s Rakuten Monkeys and Japan’s Tokyo Giants before expanding the concept into North America. This year’s Care-A-Lot Clubhouse program has already reached fans through partnerships with the Nashville Predators, Minnesota Lynx, Connecticut Sun and several Major League Baseball clubs, with additional events scheduled throughout August.
The activations also extend beyond entertainment. During the Connecticut Sun’s Pride Night, Care Bears combined fan experiences with community outreach by donating tickets to Education Equity for Queer Children while distributing hundreds of plush giveaways. Similar initiatives continue reinforcing the brand’s long-standing message that caring extends beyond characters and into real-world communities.
The expansion reflects a broader shift happening throughout the family entertainment industry. Increasingly, beloved children’s properties are no longer confined to television screens or toy aisles. Instead, they are becoming part of everyday family experiences through live events, themed attractions, sporting partnerships and interactive activations that allow fans to engage with their favorite characters in entirely new ways.
For Care Bears, Care-A-Lot Clubhouse represents another chapter in that evolution. As the franchise approaches its 45th anniversary in 2027, Cloudco Entertainment continues broadening where and how audiences experience the iconic characters, with additional plans spanning themed entertainment, immersive attractions, family entertainment centers and hospitality experiences.
Rather than waiting for fans to come to Care-A-Lot, Care Bears is bringing Care-A-Lot directly to them.
As more entertainment brands expand into real-world experiences, initiatives like Care-A-Lot Clubhouse demonstrate how today’s biggest family franchises are becoming woven into everyday life—whether that’s through a favorite television episode, a toy collection or an afternoon cheering together at the ballpark.
