Saving the world is one thing. Becoming a parent is something else entirely.
The flock is officially back as Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for “The Angry Birds Movie 3”, offering fans their first look at the next chapter in the animated franchise ahead of its theatrical debut on December 23.
While audiences can still expect the fast-paced comedy, over-the-top action and familiar feathered fun that have defined the series, the newest adventure is taking Red into entirely new territory.
According to the official synopsis, the famously hot-headed hero will be facing his greatest challenge yet—not defeating a new villain, but surviving fatherhood while once again finding himself tasked with saving the world.
It marks a natural evolution for the franchise. Since first soaring onto the big screen, “The Angry Birds Movie 3” series has balanced explosive comedy with stories about friendship, teamwork and discovering where you belong. Now, the third installment is expanding those themes by exploring family and the responsibilities that come with a brand-new chapter in life.
Returning to lead the voice cast are Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck and Danny McBride as Bomb, alongside an impressive lineup of newcomers including Emma Myers, Rachel Bloom, Walker Scobell, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, MrBeast and Salish Matter.
With a holiday release date, an expanded cast and a fresh direction for its central hero, “The Angry Birds Movie 3” is shaping up to deliver another high-energy adventure while showing that even the world’s angriest bird still has plenty left to learn.
“The Angry Birds Movie 3” flies exclusively into theaters on December 23, 2026.
