Summer may be in full swing, but Netflix is already preparing plenty of new adventures for children and families to enjoy throughout the rest of the year and beyond.

From an all-new competition series inspired by the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse to additional Sesame Street episodes, returning preschool favorites, bedtime-friendly programming and new gaming experiences, the streaming giant has unveiled a major wave of content aimed at younger audiences.

The announcement arrives as Kids & Family entertainment continues to be a major force on the platform. According to Netflix, children’s programming accounted for nearly 22 percent of all viewing on the service during 2025. Additionally, a family-friendly title has appeared in Netflix’s Global Top 10 every week for nearly four consecutive years.

Leading the latest announcements is a significant expansion of the popular Gabby’s Dollhouse franchise.

Hosted by Laila Lockhart Kraner as Gabby, an untitled Gabby’s Dollhouse competition series is currently in development. The new program will follow talented young baker-and-maker duos as they compete in whimsical baking and crafting challenges inspired by the magical world of the hit preschool series. Four holiday-themed episodes are scheduled to arrive later this year, with additional episodes planned for 2027.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more adventures inside the Dollhouse itself either.

Gabby and the Gabby Cats return on September 14 with Season 14 of Gabby’s Dollhouse. The series continues to be one of Netflix’s biggest preschool successes, ranking as the platform’s fourth most-viewed series during the second half of 2025 with approximately 108 million views.

“Since Gabby’s Dollhouse first premiered on Netflix in 2021, a world of creativity and imagination has exploded for our young audience and it only continues to grow,” said co-creators Jennifer Twomey and Traci Paige Johnson. “We’ve been so lucky to continue playing and creating in the Dollhouse, with a fourteenth season coming to Netflix, and now a competition series that brings play to life in a new way.”

Meanwhile, families can now enjoy even more time with some familiar friends from Sesame Street.

Netflix has officially launched its Sesame Street collection, featuring more than 100 beloved episodes and specials from the franchise’s extensive library alongside episodes from the newest Season 56, including the recently released Volume 3.

The collection is set to expand further this July with more than 20 additional library episodes, including Sesame Street Classics and My Sesame Street Friends: My Abby Season 2.

Several other preschool favorites are also preparing to return with new episodes.

Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish swims back onto screens for Season 3 beginning August 10. The animated comedy follows an unusual pair of fish friends as they introduce young viewers to opposite concepts through playful adventures and discoveries.

Later in the month, Sheriff Labrador returns for Season 2 on August 31, delivering additional stories designed to help children learn about safety, healthy habits, kindness and curiosity both at home and beyond.

Families looking for calmer viewing experiences can also now enjoy Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr. directly through Netflix for the very first time.

The award-winning series features soothing stories set within beloved worlds including StoryBots, Trash Truck, The Creature Cases, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Dr. Seuss adventures. Backed by sleep science research, the series has become a popular bedtime companion for families, generating more than 16 million downloads across podcast platforms and the Netflix Jr. YouTube channel.

The fun extends beyond television as well.

Netflix Playground, the company’s gaming app designed specifically for children ages eight and under, is continuing to expand with new experiences inspired by popular children’s brands. Included with every Netflix subscription and designed without in-app purchases, the platform encourages learning through play while also supporting offline access for travel and family outings.

Upcoming additions include games based on PJ Masks, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, My Little Pony, PAW Patrol, Trash Truck and additional Sesame Street experiences.

Meanwhile, fans of KPop Demon Hunters can jump into six newly released minigames inspired by the hit franchise, allowing players to spend even more time in the world of HUNTR/X.

Combined with popular preschool favorites such as CoComelon Lane and Peppa Pig, along with educational programming from trusted creators including Ms. Rachel, Mark Rober and Danny Go!, the latest announcements demonstrate Netflix’s continued commitment to creating content that entertains, educates and inspires young viewers.

Whether families are crafting alongside Gabby, learning with Elmo, exploring opposite concepts with Red Fish and Blue Fish, helping Sheriff Labrador solve problems or winding down with a bedtime story, there will be no shortage of adventures waiting on Netflix in the months ahead.

Mother of three. That does not include the dog or my husband either! We have a full household of fun and we just love trying new products of all varieties. May not watch as many kids shows as the rest of the family though.
