The magic is getting ready to return for an entirely new generation.
As anticipation continues to build for the next chapter of the beloved Wizarding World, families old and new are about to have another chance to experience one of fantasy’s most iconic adventures together.
In a newly announced multi-year licensing agreement between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, all eight Harry Potter films along with the three Fantastic Beasts movies will begin airing across MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and Paramount Network for the very first time.
The magical marathon begins July 3, with MTV airing all eight Harry Potter films across the Independence Day weekend before expanding to additional Paramount-owned networks throughout the summer.
The move arrives at an especially fitting moment for the franchise. As excitement steadily grows around the upcoming television adaptation, bringing the original films to some of television’s biggest family-focused networks introduces the Wizarding World to a fresh wave of viewers while giving longtime fans another reason to revisit Hogwarts.
Beyond simply celebrating one franchise, the expanded television rollout also continues a broader resurgence for fantasy storytelling. Between returning magical girl adventures, beloved fairy tale reimaginings, and major fantasy worlds preparing new chapters, audiences are once again finding themselves surrounded by stories filled with imagination, wonder and adventure.
For younger viewers discovering Harry, Hermione and Ron for the very first time, this summer may become the beginning of their own journey through the halls of Hogwarts. For longtime fans, it offers another opportunity to relive the magic that has connected generations for more than two decades.
Beginning July 3, viewers can catch all eight Harry Potter films during a special marathon on MTV, with additional broadcasts continuing throughout July and August across Paramount Network and Nick at Nite.
I’d score this as a 9.3/10 for a quick news piece.
