The growing heat of the forthcoming summer season is signal for adventure on the open road and adventures. And the starting flag for even more adventures in Radiator Springs.
While 2026 does service as the 20 year anniversary for the popular Pixar film franchise. Cars, new adventures from our favorite characters are fueling up to arrive back on our screens in 2027 with a brand-new Disney Jr series, “Cars: Lighting Racers“.
Cars: Lightning Racers follows Lightning McQueen as he gears up for all-new adventures in Radiator Springs alongside his hilarious best friend Mater and new friends thrill-seeking drag car Pipes and mud-loving monster truck Miles.
Though the series isn’t speeding near our screens until next year, fans cane be excited to welcome back the beloved and extensive voice cast, including the likes of: Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, Tony Shalhoub as Luigi, Cheech Marin as Ramone, Bob Peterson as Chick Hicks and John Ratzenberger as Mack. New additions include Leah Lewis as Pipes, Yuri Lowenthal as Miles and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Ms. Blinker. Plus, Bonnie Hunt as Sally, Jenifer Lewis as Flo, Guido Quaroni as Guido, Lloyd Sherr as Fillmore, Michael Wallis as Sheriff and Paul Dooley as Sarge.
With a fully loaded voice cast and passionate creative team, we can’t wait to see what this next adventure for Lighting and company will be.
