Without having seen the show there is a lot of discussion about Win or Lose from Pixar that will be coming to Disney+ on February 19th. It will be Pixar’s first original series and will follow eight different characters and perspectives as they get ready for a championship softball game. We will get the kids perspective, the parents, even the umpire for the game as well. This sort of setup should make for a real interesting series and it does have some of that Inside Out vibe with peoples emotions and things of that nature as they look at anxiety, pressure, teamwork, etc. What we don’t really know though at this point is the actual plot for the series, it is just going to be about getting ready for the game, or will we see a lot of other subplots going on with the characters? We love the interesting ways that they are showing how people feel with their emotions and loving the fact that we get to understand the adults perspective here as well.
We are hype to see the show, as we love that they are tackling something that many families deal with, sports and emotions and it may shed some light on how different generations deal with an event like this. Hopefully it can meet our lofty expectations. Also in this Win Or Lose universe, why do some characters have noses and some look like they came out of Big City Greens?
One story, told from eight sides.
#WinOrLose, Pixar’s first original series, is available February 19 only on #DisneyPlus.
Pixar Animation Studios’ original series “Win or Lose” follows the intertwined stories of eight different characters as they each prepare for their big championship softball game. The series reveals what it actually feels like to be in the shoes of each character—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—with incredibly funny, very emotional and uniquely animated perspectives.
