We are getting a new Christmas movie today as That Christmas is now streaming on Netflix. Based on the children’s books by Richard Curtis as well as having a song by Ed Sheeran in “Under the Tree” there is a lot of hype surrounding the movie. That Christmas is a little different and while we start with Santa Claus making a mistake and only having one reindeer able to pull the sleigh, the story itself focuses on a fictional English town where we follow many different stories. Danny, who is new to the town can be called the center of the stories with things revolving around him, but we do get a look into many different angles of the holiday with different people. This is a fun film that delivers such a strong message that it captures the Christmas spirit.
Make sure to tune in and watch That Christmas on Netflix for a great story and stunning animation.
Based on the charming trilogy of children’s books by beloved multi award-winning writer/director Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Love Actually, Yesterday), That Christmas follows a series of entwined tales about family and friends, love and loneliness, and Santa Claus making a big mistake, not to mention an enormous number of turkeys! This heartwarming comedy from Locksmith Animation marks Curtis’ first foray into animation, serving as the film’s writer and executive producer, and also the feature directorial debut of renowned animation veteran Simon Otto (Love, Death & Robots, How to Train Your Dragon films). Nicole P. Hearon (Moana, Frozen) and Adam Tandy (The Thick of It, Detectorists) are producers.
