Super Mutant Magic Academy is coming to Adult Swim, and we are intrigued by the show, which is based on the Tamaki’s comic series, Super Mutant Magic Academy. We will be looking at this series though the eyes of Marsha, who is a new transfer student to the academy, and it sounds like things are not what they seem as Marsha has a mysterious past.
While the academy is unique, the kids will still be dealing with the same thing that other kids go through like romance, friendships, school as well as their powers. If you want to get a head start on the series, make sure to go take a look at the comics. If it holds true we might get some crazy science experiments, bake sales and Marsha’s crush.
“Super Mutant Magic Academy” – Created by Emmy winner J.G. Quintel (“Regular Show”) and Jillian Tamaki, this surreal comedy is set at a high school where the student body is a mix of mutants and “regular” kids. Through eyes of Marsha, a sardonic new transfer student with a mysterious past, the series follows the awkward high school struggles and occasional triumphs of a diverse cast of teens as they stumble through romance, friendships and growing mutant powers. Based on Tamaki’s comic series, “Super Mutant Magic Academy” is produced for Adult Swim by Cartoon Network Studios.
