THE SECRET SOCIETY OF REBEL GIRLS With Nina, Maya, Kai and Zoe And A Magic Mailbox

Huge announcement, there is a Live Action TV series coming with The Secret Society of Rebel Girls which will be paired with a book series from DK. So this new franchise will be set in the world of the Ada Lovelace School as Nina, Maya, Kai and Zoe get to talk to people from the past. It all starts with the book Rebel Girls: Nina and the Mysterious Mailbox coming on August 13, 2024, which will be written by Marti Dumas and be the first of six middle grad books in the series. The first book will focus on a letter from Cleopatra as Nina tries to help Maya win the race for 6th grade representative. Not only is the mailbox a mystery, but it seems the science teacher is also acting a little strange which may play into what is going on.

Lion Forge Entertainment developing Live Action TV series with DK on Board for Publishing

● Rebel Girls is introducing a new franchise – and its first fiction series – with The Secret Society of Rebel Girls.
● Set in the world of the Ada Lovelace School, Secret Society of Rebel Girls navigates friendship, laughter, adversity, mystery and adventure as classmates Nina, Maya, Kai and Zoe find themselves through advice from the past.
● The original story and characters were conceived by Anna McCleery for Rebel Girls, who has publishing and television plans for the franchise.
● Rebel Girls will release Secret Society of Rebel Girls: Nina and the Mysterious Mailbox August 13, 2024. Written by New York Times bestselling author Marti Dumas, Nina and the Mysterious Mailbox is the first of the six middle grade books in the series and will be published by DK.
● Marti has written books including Wildseed Witch and Jaden Toussaint, and as contributor to It’s Not Bragging If It’s True: How to Be Awesome at Life, from a Winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

A school election. A mysterious mailbox. And a letter from . . . Cleopatra?

Middle school is so weird. That’s the thought running through Nina Warren-West’s head in her first weeks at Ada Lovelace Middle School. Little does she know, it’s about to get even weirder.

Nina is determined to help her best friend Maya win the race for 6th grade representative. But when she uses her robotics skills to spy on Maya’s opponent, the girls wind up in detention. There, they are asked to write a letter to a woman from history. Nina pours her heart out to Cleopatra, and instead of throwing the letter away so her parents don’t find it, she slips it into a battered old mailbox she and Maya find in the woods. It was all just a game . . . until a giant scroll arrives at Nina’s house, signed by Cleopatra herself!

Do the girls really have a pen pal from 2,000 years ago? Will their friend Zoe ever speak to them again? Why is their science teacher acting so oddly? And what on Earth is a time taco?
