Luz looks like a wonderful fun adventure series with a bit of secrets, mystery and magic as Luz, played by Marianna Santos, upon turning nine, discovers a very important clue about her past. She decides to run away with the help of a magic firefly, where she arrives at a boarding school where her new friends will help her find out about her past. We do also get to see the character who we believe will be the villain in the trailer, as he wants Luz dead from when she was born and looks to come back into her life. There is a lot of mystery, secrets, and we hope a lot of magic in Luz the series, and we will be turning in on February 7th to start streaming.
Kids and their families have long awaited the release date of Luz — and now the wait is over! Netflix is pleased to announce that its first Brazilian children’s series will be out February 7. Alongside the announcement, Netflix is also sharing the show’s official trailer. In it, audiences get a glimpse of our protagonist’s challenging but thrilling journey, as her life turns upside down after discovering secrets from her mysterious past.
In the series, Luz (Marianna Santos) plays an orphan of non-Indigenous origin who is taken in as a baby and raised by Ga (Claudia Di Moura) in Brazil’s Indigenous Kaingang community. Upon turning nine, the brave young girl discovers an important clue about her past and decides to run away. With the aid of her little firefly friend, Luz arrives at a boarding school, where she investigates her true origins with some very special new friends.
