A Gingerbread Christmas will premiere on discovery+ on November 11th and this scripted Holiday movie is going to bring in a Food Network star as well with Duff Goldman playing food celebrity Mark Clemmons. Our story has Hazel Stanley home for the holidays with her father in Chicago trying to keep the family bakery afloat while she competes with her best friend, turned rival, Shelby who has opened a new store across the street. As contractor James Meadows is helping out Hazel’s father as an assistant baker, things are still not going as planned. Luckily though, there may be a path to saving the store as Mark Clemens, the Chicago “Cookie King” is judging the annual Christmas Bakeoff which has a grand prize of $100,000 for best gingerbread creation.
The story has James and Hazel working together in A Gingerbread Christmas to try and win the prize and maybe make a romantic connection as well. We almost wish that Duff Goldman was playing himself though, but we love that the Food Network stars are coming to scripted television this holiday season.

A Gingerbread Christmas finds Hazel Stanley (Tiya Sircar) spending the holidays with her father Ted (Sugith Varughese) in Chicago, where she discovers the family bakery is in decline and that former best friend Shelby (Kyana Teresa) has opened a trendy new bake shop across the street. Hazel, who hopes to save the family business by winning $100,000 in a gingerbread house competition led by food celebrity Mark Clemmons (Duff Goldman), finds unexpected romance with local contractor James Meadows (Marc Bendavid), a family friend who is helping to restore the bakery. When a series of misunderstandings threaten to tear everything apart, will the magic of the holidays lead everyone to have a Merry Christmas? Directed by Pat Kiley from a screenplay by Carley Smale and Blaine Chiapetta, A Gingerbread Christmas is produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Neshama Entertainment and Vroom Productions.
