Donkey Hodie is coming to the PBS KIDS Prime Video Channel this May and we are always excited for new puppet series to hit the air, especially ones that have a character from the Mister Roger’s Neighborhood. So in this new show we get to meet Donkey Hodie, granddaughter of the original Donkey Hodie character, who will be referred to as Grampy Hodie now. Donkey Hodie is for the preschool crowd and Donkey and her friends will go on fun adventures that are filled with music as they learn all sorts of things.
This is such a great way to bring these classic characters back for a new generation as the parents also get their taste of nostalgia as well. There will not only be original music but also reimagined version of Mister Rogers’ original songs, which sounds great.
NEW PBS KIDS SERIES “DONKEY HODIE” ARRIVES ON THE PBS KIDS PRIME VIDEO CHANNEL THIS MAY
This May, PBS Distribution will be adding the brand new series, DONKEY HODIE, to the PBS KIDS Prime Video Channel. Following the adventures of Donkey Hodie, granddaughter of the original Donkey Hodie character from MISTER ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD (now known as “Grampy Hodie”), the new preschool puppet series arrives with three volumes of fun and entertainment. Children will follow Donkey and her pals as they go on exciting, music-filled adventures while learning valuable lessons about resilience, persistence and problem solving in the process. DONKEY HODIE, a whimsical, new PBS KIDS puppet series produced by Fred Rogers Productions (DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD) and Spiffy Pictures (NATURE CAT), will encourage preschoolers to aim high, embrace challenges and work hard to achieve their goals. Inspired by the quirky, funny side of Fred Rogers, DONKEY HODIE furthers the children’s TV pioneer’s mission of helping young viewers navigate the challenges of childhood. The series features original music along with reimagined versions of Rogers’ songs. Also coming to the channel, “PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC: Volume 10,” and “DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD: Volume 17.”
