Nickelodeon The Smurfs TV Series Thoughts

The Smurfs is one of the new animated series that Nickelodeon has announced, but also one of the ones where we do not have any pictures to go along with it. We must rely on the blurb below as we take dive into our thoughts on the upcoming series.

The Smurfs TV series (premieres October 2021 on Nickelodeon)– Based on the iconic property and in partnership with LAFIG Belgium and IMPS, The Smurfs is a brand-new original CG-animated TV series following Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy and others, on all-new adventures, packed with humor, heart and high-stakes action.

The Smurfts TV series is really not all that far away and it will be a CG animated series as we have seen Nickelodeon go to this option for many of their newer animated shows. While we have seen a CG smurf before in the movies, we are hoping that is the sort of quality we are going to get with the series. We also wonder if this is going to stick more to the original 2D series or the movies in terms of characters and story, but since we do not have any live action here we are hopeful that we are going to get the smurfs in their forest trying to stay safe from Gargamel, Azrael, Lord Balthazar, Scruple, Hogatha and more of the classic villains. Looking forward to seeing some pictures or video from the series, but we are excited as always to see more smurf series.
