Season 1 of City of Ghosts is coming to Netflix on March 5th and this animated sort of documentary is such a unique show that we are looking forward to. The show has a group of kids, the Ghost Club, having adventures all around the city of Los Angeles as they interact with ghosts to solve issues as well as learn about the city’s history.
There is a lot to look forward to in this unique series and we would love to see this set in some larger cities in the US if this season goes well. Maybe even City of Ghosts specials where they go to Chicago, NYC, and others. Ito who is a first-time showrunner is using her personal experience to draw on for the series and the trailer gives us a good glimpse of what to expect.

A young girl who discovers stories around her city by communicating directly with the ghosts who inhabit it.
Netflix has greenlit a new kids animated series, City of Ghosts, from first-time showrunner Elizabeth Ito, Emmy Award-winning director and writer on Adventure Time and creator of the Cartoon Network short Welcome to My Life. Ito is a Los Angeles native and City of Ghosts explores her personal experience growing up as a yonsei (a 4th generation Japanese American) living in various multicultural neighborhoods across Los Angeles. Ito takes an entertaining look at how generations of diverse inhabitants can affect the changing dynamics of neighborhoods and the communities that form in them.
