Disney Channel Announces Christmas Again With Scarlett Estevez

Over at D23 we have a new announcement about an upcoming DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) which will be titled Christmas Again. Production has begun on the movie and it should air sometime in 2021 is everything goes well. Fickman and Sulleger will head up the movie that will star Scarlett Estevez, Daniel Sunjata, Alexis Cara, Ashlyn Jade Lopez, Priscilla Lopez, Beth Lacke, Tony Amendola, Gary Anthony Williams and more.

Christmas Again is going to center on Scarlett Estevez’ character Rowena “Ro” who is having a tough time feeling the holiday spirit. Her parents are divorced and she wishes that they were together still. She also wishes the new girlfriend and son of her father were not around. She is bent on having the same family traditions that she had in the past and she ends up telling a mall Santa that she wants to do this holiday season over again. In true movie style this wish comes true and she has to relive Christmas day over and over with her only hope of breaking the cycle being the Christmas spirit. We will find out if she can do it when Christmas Again comes to Disney Channel next year!

Our friends at Disney Channel have just announced that production has begun on the Disney Channel Original Movie Christmas Again, a heartwarming comedy that’s chock-full of Christmas magic. The movie comes from the successful team behind Disney Channel’s fan-favorite series Liv and Maddie, director Andy Fickman (Race to Witch Mountain) and his long-time producing partner, Betsy Sullenger. They serve as executive producers on Christmas Again, which is filming now in Chicago with Fickman at the helm.

Christmas Again boasts a multi-talented cast led by Disney Channel fan-favorite Scarlett Estevez of BUNK’D, along with Daniel Sunjata (Manifest, Rescue Me), Alexis Carra (Fosse/Verdon), newcomer Ashlyn Jade Lopez, Tony Award® winner Priscilla Lopez (A Chorus Line), Beth Lacke (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Tony Amendola (Annabelle), and veteran comedic actor Gary Anthony Williams (Star Wars Resistance).
