Something that so many of us never imagined would ever come to pass, has somehow just happened. It’s amazing and enough to leave me crying at work in a state of glee, and pure surprise. And helped remind me of why we always need to continue to believe and never give up.

Healin’ Good PreCure: Cure Fontaine, Pegitan, Nyatoran, Cure Sparkle, Latte, Cure Grace and Rabirin
Let’s be completely and utterly honest here, right now we all need hope and a little reminder that no matter what we need to push though because in the end we will stand strong.
This could very well be the very reason why the seventeenth incarnation of the long-running maho shoujo (magical girl) series from Toei Animation, Healin’ Good PreCure could be the most important series we can have right now.
Previously I have spoken about PreCure, to be more specific the Netflix adaptation known as ‘Glitter Force’. (Even to the point of actually being quoted on that Wikipedia page. He-he… And yes, the Americanization still bothers me.) However, bar ‘Glitter Force’ (based on Smile PreCure) and ‘DokiDoki Glitter Force (DokiDoki PreCure).
I have never actually talked about PreCure as well, PreCure. That is mostly due to the fact the series has mostly been unlicensed to the West. With the expectation of the first entry into the franchise, and a few seasons that had been dubbed and released in Italy. PreCure has never been completely officially released. True to the original!
Until now, that is.
Like every year, at the start of February fans of the long lived brand have enjoyed what has basically come a holiday on February 1st, PreCure day. As the first weekend of the month signals the start of the new series that will run for that year. And this year specifically Toei went in full force.
Not only did they release the first wave of merchandise for Healin’ Good PreCure. They even went as far as to live-stream the events being held in Japan on their YouTube channel, release a slightly extended first look at the series’ opening and release the first couple episodes of the new series following their broadcast release. All of which, much to many’s surprise, were not region locked.
This, along with Toei updating their website with new PreCure details and a few social media posts on Twitter and Instagram about the series were pure and total teasing. That was met with fans globally commenting and crying out for the series to legally come to the West.
And yesterday, June 22nd, it all came to head following a new post about the series returning to broadcast in Japan following the series hiatus following the country’s lifted state of emergency. Many fans noticed that many staffers on the anime streamer Crunchyroll started liking comments and engaging. One also going as far as to tweet out that “…we will all lose our minds tomorrow.”
Did we lose our minds? Yes. And we also cried our eyes out and cheered as at long last PreCure comes to the West.
As today Crunchyroll tweeted out their upcoming summer anime line-up – and in the spotlight is this year’s series, Healin’ Good PreCure.
The Healing Garden, a secret world that has provided treatment to heal the Earth,is under attack by the Byogens, who plan to infect Earth with an illness, putting it in great danger!

Now Start! Pretty Cure Operation!
I feel like I don’t need to go on record stating how overjoyed I am, how much I love this series and what a huge deal this is. Just go look at my Twitter feed and you will see where my heart rests.
I have seen the first twelve episodes of the series that have already aired, and I adore it as it feels like it effortlessly hits all the right notes.
It would be so easy to go on, and on about the series. But I will leave that for my weekly episodes reviews following their release on Crunchyroll. So let’s start the operation! Welcome, PreCure everyone. Let’s support the series so we can reach more hearts and the entire series can come over here!
