Paxton Booth is a huge part of Coop & Cami Ask The World on Disney Channel and BSCKids got the opportunity to speak to Paxton not only about his role on the show, but also about how he has been spending his time.
Paxton can currently be seen as a series regular on Disney Channel’s “Coop & Cami Ask The World,” which is currently airing new episodes from its highly anticipated second season. He’s also been featured on hit TV shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Real O’Neals, The Romanoffs, Teachers, and ABC’s unscripted series The Toy Box as a judge.
During quarantine… Paxton adopted a puppy, has been encouraging kids to read (with his virtual book club #PagesWithPaxton), and most recently spread some love to Make-A-Wish kids whose wishes have been put on hold due to the pandemic.
You can find our first interview with Paxton Booth here, and then make sure to come back to check out this new interview and tune into Coop & Cami Ask The World on Disney Channel.
BSCKids: Hope all is well Paxton, we got to speak to you when the first show aired. How do you think you have grown from the first season of Coop & Cami as an actor?
Paxton Booth: Hello! Going into Season 2 I think I’ve matured quite a bit. I definitely know the routine and more about set life than I did on Season 1. As an actor I understand more of what goes into making a show and how prepared I need to be to make it happen.
Who do you feel like has taught you the most in your career?
I’ve been lucky to work with some really talented people who have been in the business for a long time. They have all been really helpful and I’ve been learning from them every chance I get. I don’t think I can name just one person because between my co-stars, my parents, camera operators, stunt coordinators…you name it…there are so many different things to learn about in this industry that I think I’ll always be a student!
Any fan stories you can tell us? Do you get recognized while you are out?
I do get recognized some, but it’s kind of funny. Most kids my age won’t approach me. They usually just hide and whisper to their friends and family. I love meeting fans of the show! It would be awesome if they would just say hello more often.
Are there any fun behind the scenes things that have happened on set that you can tell us?
It gets really hot in Southern California, so our set teachers surprised us with a huge bucket of water balloons on a rehearsal day. We all went into the parking lot and had a good time tossing them at each other!
If you could guest star on another Disney show which one would it be and why?
I would love to try doing some voiceover work, because that’s something I’ve never done. Big City Greens is my favorite cartoon on Disney, so I think it would be so rad to do a guest star role on it.

How have you been staying active lately?
I’ve been riding my skateboard and BMX bike around town almost daily. We adopted a puppy, so we take her on several walks a day too.
Tell us something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I love feeding the crows in my yard. They are so smart. Every morning I go outside and yell “good morning” and the same group comes flying in to eat. I even have a wild blue jay that I’ve been hand feeding too.
Who do you enjoy watching on YouTube and/or following on Social Media?
I’m not too glued to Social Media. Most of the accounts I follow are just my close friends, cute animals or car pages. One of my favorite Instagram accounts is @boopmynose because all they post are photos of cute dog noses.
What has been your favorite episode of Coop and Cami and your favorite stunt you have been able to do?
My favorite episode is called Would You Wrather Have a World Record. Ollie picks up a new hobby of playing piano, and he’s very good at it. You get to see him start to grow up and stick up for himself. It was fun to show some emotion, which is something you don’t really see from Ollie.
My favorite stunt this season was dropping from the ceiling into a recliner. I was in a harness and safely lowered into it, just really fast! It was so much fun!
We have heard you recently adopted a puppy, tell us all about the puppy as well as how the training process is going?
Her name is Ripley and we adopted her from Paw Works. She is the cutest ball of sass! Training a puppy isn’t easy, but I’m learning. We’ve mastered a “sit” and are working on her jumping manners. She’s super smart, so it won’t take too long. She is a professional snuggler though. That didn’t take much training at all!
Tell us about your virtual book club and your work with Make-A-Wish.
Yes, I love to read and wanted to share my love of it to other kids. That is when I came up with the idea for #PagesWithPaxton. I share what book I’m currently reading, and we discuss it in the comments. I have gotten some good feedback and I’m hoping for more kids to join.
I really enjoy having Make-A-Wish kids come to set because it always makes our days brighter. All the kids, their families and the volunteers are always so positive. Sadly, during this time the wishes have been postponed so I have been making videos to help show support.
Paxton tell us why everyone should be watching Coop & Cami Ask The World?
People should watch Coop & Cami because it’s a funny family show. The characters and stories are really fun and relatable.
