Olivia Sanabia is a family favorite at our household and when we were offered the opportunity to speak to her about Coop & Cami Ask The World, her music and some other things, we all got a bit giddy. This is our daughter’s favorite actress and we are all HUGE Just Add Magic fans along with Coop & Cami Ask The World fans. Continue on below and find out a bit more about Olivia as we get to talk to her and check below for our previous interview with Olivia.
BSCKids: Tell us a bit about your character on Coop & Cami Ask the World.
Olivia Sanabia: I play Charlotte Wrather, the oldest of the four siblings. Charlotte is headstrong, passionate about everything she does, and she loves to sing! She is like another parental figure to her siblings since it is a single-parent home.
Do you feel like you have anything in common with your character on the show?
Charlotte and I are both very passionate people, but she tends to be more high-strung than I am. We both have younger siblings and love them very much.
What has been your favorite episode so far of Coop & Cami Ask the World and why?
My favorite episode so far is in Season 2. I won’t spill too much, but we get to see more of Charlotte singing and performing with her brother. We get to wear some crazy costumes and I think everyone is going to love the episode as much as I do!
Do you feel like you kids relate to Coop & Cami because of the online show aspect? Do you have a favorite YouTube channel you can share with us?
I think that the online aspect is definitely one of the most relatable parts of our show. Because social media is a huge part of most kids’ lives nowadays, it’s great that we get to show how it can be used in a positive way. One of my favorite YouTubers is Alisha Marie. I also love my sweet friend Rosanna Pansino’s YouTube channel!
How did you feel when you knew there was going to be a second season of the show?
I was excited to be able to continue to bring laughter to people. Laughter is the best medicine and that’s the goal of our show. I was also so grateful to continue to be a part of the Disney Channel family.
Any funny things you can tell us that have happened while filming?
We are always cracking up on set. I think one of the craziest moments was when there was about seven of us, and we all had to run out of the set at the end of a scene. We ended up all falling and toppling over on each other. None of us could stop laughing!
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I think people would be surprised to know that I love listening to music from the 40’s and 50’s. I absolutely love Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
If you could guest star on any show on television which one would it be?
Although it isn’t filming anymore, I would have loved to guest star on the CW show Reign. I absolutely love the costumes and I would love to do a period piece!
Sorry we have to ask a Just Add Magic questions as well, since it is one of our favorite shows of all time… Did you get to keep anything from the set of Just Add Magic? There were so many cool things used during filming..
Thank you! I’m so glad you like it! I kept a few classic Kelly Quinn clothing items, but my favorite thing I took was the mirror (the one from Kelly’s room that had all the magical clues pinned on the back). I keep it in my room and every time I look at it, it brings back all the great memories.

Where do you feel like you have grown as an actress from Just Add Magic to current day?
Because Just Add Magic was more of a drama, I didn’t get to stretch my comedy muscles as much. Now that I’ve spent time on Coop and Cami Ask the World, it has been so much fun learning more about how to make people laugh!
Do you have anything coming up in the future that you can tell us about career wise?
I am so excited to release my original music. I have loved singing since before I can remember, and I can’t wait to share music of my own. You guys can expect lots of exciting announcements to come!
Besides your two shows…what is your favorite Disney show of all time?
My favorite Disney Channel show of all time is Good Luck Charlie. My family and I absolutely love it and still watch reruns to this day.
Tell us a bit about the non-profit organization, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
When I heard about Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, I knew I wanted to get involved and do my part in some way. They raise money to help fund research for childhood cancer. I love kids, and hearing what they have to go through absolutely breaks my heart. I figure that if I’m lucky enough to have a platform, I want to encourage others to do good (such as getting involved with Cookies for Kids’.)
