Lizzie McGuire news makes us very happy and we get a picture and a note that they are filming in New York for the first episode of the show on Disney Plus, “13 Going on 30.” The fact that we are going to find out what happens to Hilary Duff’s character Lizzie as she grows up is something that really kicks us in the nostalgia. We all have dreams of one of our favorite shows growing up picking back up to find out what happened to them as they got older and the new Lizzie McGuire is going to make that a reality for all the kids that grew up on the original show.
We do know a little bit about the new Lizzie McGuire show based on previous info and that has the story picking up with Lizzie as she is about to turn 30, hence the name of the first episode. Lizzie seems to have it all, the job, the guy, the apartment, but being an adult isn’t always easy and we are going to get to see the “ups and downs of adulthood” with her animated alter-ego. We will get to see many of the original series cast as well as some new characters as well, plus we always thought Lizzie would have a cool job like an assistant to a decorator, so the series is already off to a good start. We wonder if that plush Lizzie is carrying is for a decorating job or if there is more to the story.
