RECESS REBELS by Emma Wunsch and Illustrated by Jessika von Innerebner is number 3 of the Miranda and Maude series, which is already a favorite in the house. Luciana V was excited to see what adventures the girls were up to in the third book.
A princess and a revolutionary form an unexpected friendship in this charming, illustrated chapter book series
The girls and boys of 3B aren’t getting along. It starts with a game of tag and ends with a tug of war. In between, there are sneak attacks, a girls-only newspaper, a doughnut filled with cheese, and one stolen Frizzle chicken. Maude gets lots of opportunities to protest, but in the end, it’s Miranda who learns to stand up for what she believes in.
Luciana V talks a bit about the book below:
Which character would you most likely be friends with?
Miranda because she is really nice and Maude is a little bossy
What was your favorite part of the book?
There is a great part at the end of the book with Donut and Maude, but we can’t give anything away
What would you change the title of the book to, if you could give it a new title?
Miranda and Maude: Boys vs Girls
What game don’t you like at recess?
I really don’t like tag either
Who is your favorite character to read about, Miranda or Maude?
Maude because she is interesting because she does a lot of things and she is also really daring and not afraid to stand up for herself.
