Big Nate: Hug It Out! has been the best Big Nate book that we have read with Lincoln Peirce leaving us on a television mini-series worthy cliff hanger at the end. This was one that the whole family enjoyed from 9 years old all the way up to the 46 years old readers.
Big Nate: Hug It Out! gives us a lot of great stories as Nate and Ellen stay with their grandparents, the “Gas Giant” arcade high score, Nate working with Gina as his tutor to stay out of summer school, the Fair and much more… The Fair storyline is the one where Nate meets his mystery girl on the Flamethrower ride and does not even get her name and then tries to track her down. This really hit home for me and we are sure other people have been in the same situation before. Lincoln Peirce really does a great job with this Nate story and we are super hopeful that we get more of this mystery girl in the next book.
