I have to admit that as someone who was raised on the original Jumanji, I was hesitant when 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle came out. But I was so surprised by how funny and well written it ended up being. That being said, Sony Pictures has revealed the official trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level, the third film in the action-adventure franchise and I am PUMPED.
In the trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level, Spencer (Alex Wolff) has disappeared within the game and it is up to his three friends to follow and save him. However, something goes amiss and not everyone makes it through correctly. Johnson is no longer standing in for Spencer, but Spencer’s grandfather (DeVito), who has somehow meandered into the game alongside his friend, Milo Walker (Danny Glover). Hart is now Franklin, while Jack Black has now become the mouthpiece for Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain). Martha-via-Karen Gillian seems to have made it over just fine, but where did Bethany (Madison Iseman) disappear to after the jump?
Nick Jonas returns and Awkwafina also joins the cast in a role not yet disclosed.
I could watch hours of Hart and The Rock in these roles. It looks to be a very funny third installment.
Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner penned the script with director Jake Kasdan returning to helm the new installment.
Jumanji: The Next Level debuts on December 13 of this year! Check out the trailer below:
