BBQ Brawl: Flay V. Symon will premiere on August 1st and it will feature Bobby Flay and Michael Symon mentoring and coaching some of the best BBQ cookers in this competition. Bobby Flay and Michael Symon mentor and coach the country’s most-respected barbecue challengers in a four-part competition. The coaches go head-to-head to passionately mentor, inspire and nurture teams of specialty pitmasters from all over America. At stake is the title of Master of Cue and the starring role in a series on FoodNetwork.com.
These BBQ battles will take place with these eight competitors at Star Hill Ranch in Austin, Texas, with Bobby Flay and Michael Symon, who are friends, helping out their team so that one competitor will take home the “Master of Cue” title and a digital series on the network. There will be many different challenges through the BBQ Brawl: Flay V. Symon short season including cooking different styles of BBQ, a steak challenge with Tomahawk Ribeye and more. BBQ Brawl: The Pre-Heat will start on July 29th on the Food Network app.

In the end, one competitor will earn the title of “Master of Cue” and star in their own digital series on FoodNetwork.com. Challenges during the season include a regional BBQ challenge, testing the pitmasters’ ability to cook any style; and Bobby and Michael battling in a high “steaks” challenge utilizing Tomahawk Ribeye. The final two pitmasters will meet in a BBQ battle for the ages, but when the sun sets, only one competitor will walk away with claim to the title and their own digital series. Fans that can’t wait for the premiere, starting Monday, July 29th viewers can watch the competitors compete in culinary challenges that will push their skills to the limit in the digital companion series BBQ Brawl: The Pre-Heat on the Food Network app.
