With Andi Mack not coming back for a Season 4, the stars of the show are moving on to other things. With Sofia Wylie, she will be starring as Cory Bailey in the Australian movie Back of the Net coming to the Disney Channel on June 15th.
The synopsis has Cory Bailey, an American teenager who thinks she is going to a science camp end up at the Harold Soccer Academy after getting on the wrong bus. Being stuck there for a while she will have to learn to play soccer and compete with all the kids that meant to go there, like Edie (Tiarnie Coupland) who just plain does not like Cory based on the trailer. Might there be a bit of romance with Trae Robin who plays Oliver as the trailer kind of hints at as well?
Back of the Net looks like it checks a lot of boxes for us with the science part, sports part, romance part (maybe), humor as well as coming together with your friends to deal with someone who is not so nice. It also gives that feeling of you can accomplish a lot as long as you put in some hard work with the right attitude.
You can watch the trailer for Back of the Net (2019) with Sofia Wylie below and let us know what you think. We just love Tiarnie Coupland’s character Edie and are looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. With the success of (and our praise of) Alex & Me, this looks to be another wonderful soccer movie. We are also assuming that Back of the Net will get a release on Disney+, but that has not been confirmed.
