The Dora And The Lost City Of Gold new trailer has been released and we have the target audience right here with us…a 9-year-old that grew up watching the Dora The Explorer cartoon and played with all of the toys. We decide to let her watch the trailer and give us some of her thoughts on what she thinks of the live action Dora and friends.
At first she was not interested in going to see the movie, but once she saw the trailer that all changed.
Dora, played by Isabela Moner leaves the jungle to stay with Diego as her parents follow a quest to find a lost city of gold. Dora will soon realize that High School is just as hard as the jungle and will need to have the help of Boots, Diego and her other friends to save her parents as things get out of hand.
We decided to have our daughter watch the trailer and then ask her some questions.
What do you think of Boots? He looked like I would have expected him to look based on the cartoon. Overall what did you think about the trailer? I think I would really like the movie and it told you that Dora really likes adventure. I like that the trailer had a bunch of funny parts in it. I was a little upset that they sent Dora to visit Diego instead of helping them on their adventure, but at the end of the trailer it looks like Dora is in the adventure anyway. Dora looks like I expected her to look, based on the cartoon as well.
This looks like it is going to be a fun movie for everyone.
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeff Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
