Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped a clip today of Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, which is an all-new film that is coming to theaters on March 15 from Warner Bros., Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and Red 56 and it looks amazing. From someone who is a big Nancy Drew fan, seeing Sophia Lillis in action in the clip just confirms that she can both look and act the part of the classic character.
The clip follows high school enemies Nancy (Sophia Lillis) and Helen (Laura Slade Wiggins), as they become “frenemies” and agree to team up to solve the case of the ghost that is haunting Helen’s Aunt Flora’s (Linda Lavin) home. True to the iconic character, we can see the excitement in Nancy’s eyes as she gets ready to investigate!
We also get introduced to Helen, played by Laura Slade Wiggins, as her and Nancy put their differences aside and team up to try to solve a case that involves a ghost that is haunting Helen’s Aunt Flora’s home. We love how excited Nancy gets when she is hopeful that the house is actually haunted. The chemistry between the two girls on-screen is more than we, as Nancy Drew fans, could hope for. Make sure to stay tuned for more upcoming Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase news and clips.
