MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC series will start its run of the final 26-episode in its 9th season on April 6th on Discovery Family. We will get the first episodes, “The Beginning of the End,” which will have Princess Celestia and Princess Luna retiring and giving Twilight Sparkle and friends their turn at ruling Equestria.
Twilight Sparkle does not know if she can handle the pressure of ruling and needs to gain her confidence, but at the same time an ancient villain is getting a crew of bad guys together to conquer all of Equestria. That can’t be good news for a new ruler and friends.
Later in this last season of My Little Pony: Friendship we will get to see “Quibble Pants” (Patton Oswalt) and “Cheese Sandwich” (“Weird Al” Yankovic) as well as a bunch of new original songs and new characters during their adventures.
There will be a My Little Pony week-long takeover called Pony Palooza starting on Saturday, March 30th with a marathon of Equestria Girls leading up to EQUESTRIA GIRLS: SPRING BREAKDOWN. A marathon of fun episodes from MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC will begin on Sunday and during the daytime which will then lead into the new season of the show.
